Abstract

Objective To determine the lipophilic constituents from the seeds of Vitex negundo L..Methods Lipophilic constituents were isolated and purified by Silica gel,ODS and Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography,and their structures were elucidated by chemical and spectroscopic methods.Results Seven compounds were identified:abietatrien-3β-ol(Ⅰ),vitexifolin C(Ⅱ),phytol(Ⅲ),obtusalin(Ⅳ),L-sesamin(Ⅴ),dibutylphthalate(Ⅵ),and β-sitosterol(Ⅶ).Conclusion Compound Ⅰ,Ⅱ and Ⅲ have been isolated from this species for the first time.
