Abstract
Objective:To investigate the best day-age for inducing benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)mice model. Methods:According to day-age,male mice were divided into 4 groups: GroupⅠof 28~35 days, groupⅡ of 45~60 days, group Ⅲ of 70~80 days and group Ⅳof older than one year old mice. Each group was randomly distributed into experiment group and control group. The experiment groups were injected through abdominal cavities with testosterone stock solutions as 10mg/(kg·d),whereas the control groups were injected with equal parts of sesame oil.Modelling the 21th day and 28th day,the experiment group respectively random selecting 9 and control group 6 to be sacrificed anatomical and slice to calculate prostate index. All the rest were same as them at the 35th day. Results:Modeling the 21th day,4 groups succeeded all in inducing BPH model. The prostate index of the experiment of group Ⅰand group Ⅱ increased significantlier than the control group(P0.01).The prostate index of experiment group of group Ⅲ and group Ⅳ increased more than the control group(P0.05).Shaping for 28 days and 35 days, the prostate index made no significant differences between the experiment group and the control group(P0.05).Conclusion:The different day-age mice has different sensitivity to the levels of androgen, childhood mice is the best time on establishing BPH model.Extending modeling time is little meaning for BPH mice model.
