Abstract
The efficiency and the purity of the berberine hydrochloride in coptis chinensis were as index to compare the aqueous ethanol refluxing method, the sulfuric acid ambient temperature extraction method and the ultrasonic assisted extraction method. The yield of berberine hydrochloride by the aqueous ethanol refluxing method, the sulfuric acid ambient temperature extraction method and the ultrasonic assisted extraction method, which was with ethanol and sulfuric acid as solvent, was 2.7%, 2.6%, 3.1% and 3.5%, and the purity was 79.01%, 89.81%, 85.21% and 95.91%. The ultrasonic assisted extraction method is a new extraction method that is worth popularizing in industry for simplicity, celerity and high efficiency.
