The Adjustment of China's Social Economic Policy

The author points out that the realization of scientific development, social harmony, reform of system and the institutional construction is the mains tream idea of social economic policy at present and even within the whole period of modernization. In the times of development, China's economy and society is facing such troubles as the restriction of resources and environment, the imbalan ce of development, the lagged social development and the conflict of society. Whether we can realize scientific development and social harmony, and improve the construction of modernization in the light of stable society is the challenge China facing. To solve the conflict and the problems in the development of economy and society, China puts forwards two strategic ideas--the implementation of as cientific outlook on development and building a harmonious socialist society. Th is is the new progress of development idea we made, and it also shows the direct ion of policy adjustment. The author puts forwards that policy that promoting scientific development and social harmony should pay more attention to sustainable development, giving more support to the development of backward areas, the deve lopment of society, social fairness and the institutional improvement. Scientifi cdevelopment and social harmony is the idea of development and the objective of policy. It is also the process of continuous practices. The realization of scientific development and social harmony in China accords with interests of the people of the whole country. And it will contribute to common development and the safeguarding of world peace.
