Analysis of the factors influencing the prognosis of chronic severe hepatitis B

To explore the prognosis factors on the patients with chronic severe hepatitis B by analyzing the clinical data of 172 cases with chronic severe hepatitis B retrosoectively.Fatality rate was 63.4% in patients with chronic severe hepatitis B,which had no relation to sexuality.Fatality rate was 80.4% in the patients older than 50 who had poor prognosis.In death group,serum bilirubin level,appearance of HBV DNA positive,hepatic encephalopathy,gastrointestinal hemorrhage,hepatorenal syndrome and secondary infection were higher than that in improvement group(P0.01).Prothrombin time(PT) in death group was significant higher than that in improvement group.Age older than 50-year,high serum bilirubin, long PT,complicated with hepatic encephalopathy,gastrointesinal hemorrhage,hepatorenal syndrome and infection are important factors influencing the prognosis of chronic severe hepatitis B.
