Abstract

A HPLC method was established for the determination of icariin in Cuyun Guanzhuye.HPLC analysis was carried out on Shim-Pack VP-ODS column(150 mm×4.6 mm,5 μm) with methanol-water(55∶45) as mobile phase at a flow rate of 1mL/min and UV detector at 270 nm.The calibration curve was in good linearity of icariin over the range of 0.1~4 μg(r=1.000).The average recovery was 99.9% with RSD of 2.4%(n=6).The method was sensitive,accurate and can be used to control the quality of Cuyun Guanzhuye.
