Abstract
AIM: To investigate the chemical constituents of Senecio cannabifolius var. integrilifolius (Koidz.) Kitam. METHODS: Compounds were isolated and purified by various chromatography techniques and their structures were eluci-dated by physicochemical properties and spectroscopic data. RESULTS: Nine chemical constituents were isolated and identified as sugiol (1), zhebeiresinol (2), lirriodendrin (3), oleanane(4), 1,4-benzenediol(5), ethyl 2,5-dihydroxy benzeneacetate(6), p-hydroxyphenylacetylamide(7), quercetin (8) and hyperoside (9), respectively. CONCLUSION: Compounds 1 and 2 were isolated from the genus for the first time. Compounds 1~9 were isolated from this plant for the first time.
