Application of Fentanyl and Proprofol for Gastroscopy in Patients of Hypertension

To study the feasibility and safety of fentanyl and propofol for gastroscopy in patients of hypertension,112 paatients(group A) were administered fentanyl and propofol till sedation and then gastroscopy was conducted,the other 108 patients(group B) went conventional gastroscoy as control.The results indicated in group A,there was a downtrend for BP,HR and SPNN during gastroscoy,and 100% patients were willing to accept this kind of gastroscopy again.In group B,there was an uprend for Bp and HR,a downtrend for SDNN during gastroscopy,and 54.6% patients could not bear discomfort and refused to accept gastroscopy again.There was no significant change of SPO2 during gastroscopy in all patients.Therefore,we conclude that the sedation of fenanyl and propofol for gastroscopy in patients of hypertension is arailable,efficacious and safe.
