Curative effect of inferior turbinate resection and inferior turbinate mucoperiosteal microwave treating on chronic hypertrophic rhinitis

Objective:To compare the therapeutic effect of inferior turbinate resection and inferior turbinate mucoperiosteal microwave treating on chronic hypertrophic rhinitis.Methods:70cases of chronic hypertrophic rhinitis were randomly divided into A,B,groups,each group included 35cases.Group A underwent Endoscopic resection of inferior turbinate periosteum,group B underwent microwave treatment of inferior turbinate.Mucosal repair time,ease of nasal congestion were analyzed.Results:The overall response rate,including cure and improvement,was 100%in group A and 82.86%in group B,the difference was statistically significant.In group B,1case showed nasal adhesions and 1case showed nasal drying.Conclusion:Inferior turbinate mucoperiosteal resection is better than inferior turbinate mucoperiosteal microwave for treating chronic hypertrophic rhinitis.
