Abstract
Vibration prediction of a fall pipe vessel was discussed.FEM is applied to analyze global vibration responses, caused by thrusters and main engines excitation, natural frequency and modes with the effect of fluid-structure coupling considered.Calculation results show that vibration characteristics of vessel are perfect and meet the ISO6954:2000(E) standard.Through a comparison of FE analysis result and the measured data, the accuracy of FE analysis is verified,so the method is applicable in engineering and its results could be a reference for vibration control and estimation of the feasibility of analysis method.
