Abstract

This paper attempts to make an analysis on human resource development based on the several approaches of strategic human resource management.In universalist approach,human resource development is believed to be integrated with other human resource practices and activities,and it should be responding to the context rapidly.In fit approach,human resource development is placed onto the strategic level of organization,and this approach points out how it should be combined with other human resource strategies.In resource-based approach,it focuses on the promotion of the capability of human capital, which is derived from learning from experience.In organizational capability approach,human resource development should be deployed in advance to keep abreast of future needs for the organization.Lastly,human resource development is redefined in accordance with the strategic human resource management.
