Abstract
Objective To assess the effect on left ventricular systolic function after coronary artery intervention(PCI) using real-time three-dimensional echocardiography(RT-3DE).Methods All sujects were divided into two groups: normal group consisted of fourteen normal subjects;and coronary heart disease group consisted of fourty-nine subjects performed by PCI.All subjects were examined by RT-3DE per-PCI and fourteen days after-PCI.The left ventricular end-systolic volume(LVESV)、 the left ventricular end-diastolic volume(LVEDV) and the left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) were measured. Results In normal group, there were no difference in LVESV、 LVEDV and LVEF between per-PCI and after-PCI;in coronary heart disease group,LVESV and LVEDV after-PCI were decreased significantly(P0.001);and LVEF after-PCI were increased significantly(P0.001).Conclusions RT-3DE is a useful modality to evaluate the left ventricular systolic function,PCI can improve the left ventricular systolic function in patients with coronary heart disease.
