Abstract
Objective To establish a method for simultaneous determination of three phenolic acids in Sedum aizoon L. by HPLC. Methods TOP ODS-AQ column(4.6×250 mm, 5 μm) was adopted. The mobile phase consisted of methanol(A)-0.1% phosphoric acid solution(D) with gradient elution(0-30 min, 10% A →35% A; 30-55 min, 80% A →80% A). The flow rate was 0.8 mL·min-1, and the detective wavelength was 254 nm. Results The linear ranges of gallic acid, methyl gallate and p-hydroxybenzoic acid were 2.42-242.20 μg·mL-1(r=0.9999), 2.47-246.8 μg·mL-1(r=0.9999), 0.473-47.3 μg / mL-1(r=0.9999) respectively, and the average recoveries were 99.21%, 102.11%, 104.12% respectively. The three phenolic acids of Sedum aizoon L. from different origins and medicinal parts had obvious difference in quantity or quality. Conclusion The method is simple and accurate, which can be used for the quality control of multi-component of phenolic acids in Sedum aizoon L.
