Abstract
The love song antiphonal responses was once an old and romantic tradition in Western Hunan.It is the media that the youth in Western Hunan fall in love with each other.Shen Congwen absorbed the tra- ditional culture,which made up aWestern Hunan world.The love song in Shen Congwen's novel is the imagination wing and the romantic head stream.It is poetic habitation of the character in the novels and it is a song for the natural living form of Western Hunan youth.The love song is a special sign in Western Hunan world of Shen Congwen.It has increased the poetic sense of Shen Congwen's novels and has promi- nent esthetic significance.
