Analysis of Pesticide Residues on Vegetables in Xinchang

Abstract

We collected 246 vegetable samples at random for detection of pesticide residues from product basis and famers markets in Xinchang county, and found 22 items of pesticide residues of organophosphorus, organochlorine, pyrethroid and carbamate. The results showed that, the pesticide residues of 36 samples were detected, and the whole detection rate was14.6%, moreover, the pesticide residues of 4 samples were over standard, and the excessive rate was 1.6%. Pesticide residue of the third quarter was the highest in whole year, and detection rate and excessive rate were 22.1% and 4.4%respectively. The rank of pesticide residue detection rate of different kinds of vegetables was leaf vegetables beans Brassica genusroot vegetablessolanaceous fruit vegetablescucurbitaceous vegetablestuber vegetablesbulb vegetables,and only pesticide residues of leaf vegetables, cucurbitaceous vegetables and solanaceous fruit vegetables exceeded standard. So, it was indicated that, the pesticide residue of vegetables was still existed in Xinchang, through a few vegetables' pesticide residues exceeded standard, we should strengthen the supervision to guarantee the safety of edible vegetable of the citizens.
