In allusion to the urban traffic actuality of Chongqing, 7 main reasons inducing traffic congestion are analyzed, and 7 corresponding countermeasures, such as traffic planning, traffic supply, public traffic, traffic organization and management, traffic demand management, traffic education and constituting special institution, are put forward, which have reference significance for other cities in disposing urban traffic congestion.
