Analysis on Urban Transportation Congestion and Corresponding Strategies in China

Concerning the increasingly spreading urban traffic congestion in China,the forming reasons of traffic congestion is analyzed by choosing three representative cities from different perspectives,and the corresponding strategies are compared.Firstly,it analyses the causes of traffic congestion in big cities from the respect of city planning,transportation demand and supply,public transportation,traveling mode,static traffic and management level;Secondly,combining with present treatment strategies of Beijing,Guangzhou and Shanghai,it compares the corresponding strategies of traffic congestion of three cities from three aspects,which are increasing traffic supply,traffic demand management and traffic management system;Finally,by analyzing foreign typical urban traffic congestion control measures,it offers some corresponding countermeasures for the traffic congestion for the big cities of China,which provides references for solving the problem of traffic congestion.
