Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship between clopidogrel and serum high sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP) in the patients with acute cerebra1 infarction. Methods 200 patients with cerebra1 farction were divided into two groups randomly. In the treatment group(n=100),the patients were given 75mg clopidogrel everyday. Conventiona1 treatment for patients of both groups was the same except for clopidogrel. Patients of the control group(n=100) were given 0.4/d of Xuesetong by IV instillation q. d. The course of treatment in the two groups lasted for 14 days. The neurologic impairment scores were noted down and concentrations of soluble hs-CRP before the treatment and on 7d and 14d after the treatment. The 1eve1 of serum hs-CRP was measured by scatter immune turbidity method. Results hs-CRP reached the highest level on 7d and then decreased slowly. The decline in serum level of hs-CRP on 7d of the treatment was more striking in patients of the the treatment group than in the control group(P0.05). The decline of he neurologic impairment scores on 14d of the treatment was more striking in the patients of the treatment group than that of the control group(P0.01). Conclusion Clopidogrel can decrease serum hs-CRP and mediate erebral ischemia and hypoxia. It means that clopidogrel can play an important role in protecting brain cells and blood vesse1 endothelia1 cells, and decrease the inflammatory reaction.
