Abstract

The high velocity compaction(HVC) technique was first developed in Sweden in 2001.It has the multiple properties of high impact energy of dynamic compaction,and high velocity and stability of conventional die compaction,and thus finds wide use for formation of various metals,ceramics and polymers.HVC has many advantages of low cost,high and homogeneous green density,low springback and high precision and long die life,which make it possible to process large parts with small machines.HVC is an ultimate extension of traditional powder forming methods,and is extremely competitive to prepare powder metallurgy parts with high density,high strength,high precision and low cost.This technique has been currently used in industry.
