The actions of 3% H_2O_2 and povidineiodine in prevenention of dry socket postoperation of extraction of mandibular third molar mpacted

Objective:To explore effect of3%H 2 O 2 and povidineiodine(PVP-1)on prevetnion of dry socket(DS)caused by impacted mandibular third molar extraction.Methods:166mandibular third molars impacted which were extracted were divided into two groups,subject group and control group.The former is washed perio_crown with3%H 2 O 2 and cological salt solution pre_extractional and put a drop of povidineiodine post_extractionly.The latter is hanˉdled regularly without any medicine druing extraction.Results:The result shows that the inciˉdence of dry socket is10.84%in control group and0.12%in subject group.Conclusion:The result demonstrates that the use of3%H 2 O 2 and povidineiodine can prevent the occurrence of dry socker.The procedure of using3%H 2 O 2 and povidineiodine can be used as a measure of prevention of third mandibular tooth extracted.
