Abstract
Objective To explore nasal endoscopic frontal sinusotomy in frontal sinus diseases. Methods We retrospectively studied 201 cases of patients with frontal sinusitis, frontal sinus mucoceles, and osteoma who underwent transnasal endoscopic surgery from 1999 to 2002. Results After the operation, the symptoms of all patients with frontal sinus diseases disappeared or improved endoscopically. During the follow-up of 3 to 18 months no post-operative recurrence and severe complications were found. Conclusion Nasal endoscopic frontal sinusotomy is a safe, effective, and mini-wound surgical procedure and is suitable for most frontal sinus diseases.
