Abstract

Objective To study the feasibility of endoscopic frontal sinus surgery in treating chronic frontal sinusitis. Methods 88 cases of chronic frontal sinusitis were randomly divided into two groups, the trial group(48 cases)of nasal endoscopic frontal sinus surgery, the control group(40 cases)of the anterior wall of the frontal sinus obliteration bone flap approach. The operation success rate, complications and clinical efficacy of the two groups were compared. Results The operation success rate and the total efficacy were of the trial group were higher than the control group, and complication rate was lower than the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion The application of endoscopic frontal sinus surgery in treating chronic frontal sinusitis has significant clinical effect, and can significantly improve the clinical indices of the patients.
