Study of platelet parameters and coagulation indices in 430 patients with hepatic cirrhosis

Objective To analyze the change of platelet parameters and coagulation indices in patients with hepatic cirrhosis, and the relation between the change and Child-Pugh score in hepatic cirrhosis.Methods In 430 patients with hepatic cirrhosis and 65 healthy people, the platelet and its parameters( PLT、MPV、PDW 、PCT) were detected by KX-21N type auto counter, the coagulation indices(PT、APTT、TT、FIB)were detected by CA-6000 type auto blood coagulation analyzer, the results were compared. Results Compared with healthy group, PLT、PCT descended evidently and MPV、PDW increased significantly, PT、APTT 、TT were longer and FIB descended evidently in patients with hepatic cirrhosis, there were significant difference between two groups(P0.01). The PLT, MPV, PDW, PCT, PT, APTT, TT and FIB in the hepatic cirrhosis group had statistical significance followed by Child-Pugh score A to C (P0.01).Conclusion There is abnormality of platelet parameters and disturbance of blood coagulation in patients with hepatic cirrhosis, the platelet parameters and coagulation indices help to determine the damage degree of hepatic cirrhosis and prognosis in hepatic cirrhosis.
