Abstract

Wang Song,a Bai scholar on the official Chinese history's entry of biographies,was a great scholar of Confucian classics during Jia Qing and Dao Guang's reigns of the Qing Dynasty.His thoughts manifested how the cultural elite of Bai people had been influenced by the culture of Han people.After completing annotations on some Wang's works,the author of this paper comes up with some fresh insights into Wang's thoughts.He believes that Wang's philosophy,ethics,and historical views were no more than subject to his political outlook that moralization served to calm subjects and maintain good order.
