Effects of ZhiTangShu on SOD,MDA and Structure in Tissues of Rats

Abstract

Objective To observe the effects of ZhiTangShu(ZTS)on the superoxidatase(SOD)activity, malondialdehyde(MDA)level and structure in tissues of rats. Methods The rats were randomly divided into control group and three ZTS groups (ⅠⅡⅢ).While the rats in ZTS groups were treated by drinking ZTS with different dose [Ⅰ5g/(kg·d)、Ⅱ10g/(kg·d)、Ⅲ20g/(kg·d)]for a period of three months,in the control group were treated with normal saline.Then,the SOD activity and MDA level in tissues of heart,liver,pancreas and kidney were measured,and their structures were observed.Results The SOD activity in tissues of heart, liver, pancreas and kidney of ZTS group(ⅠⅡⅢ) and the MDA level in tissues of heart and pancreas of ZTS group (ⅠⅡⅢ) and the MDA level in tissues of liver and kidney of ZTS group Ⅰ,Ⅱwere showed no significant differences(P0.05)with those of control group.But the MDA level in tissues of liver and kidney of ZTS group Ⅲ were increased (P0.05).There were no obvious differences in structure between ZTS group and control group.Conclusion The treating dose of ZTS can't remarkably injure the tissues of rats.
