Abstract

Objective To investigate the carrying situation of 1 and 2 class integrase gene and 1 class integron marker genes in Pseudomonas aeruginosa(P.aeruginosa) drug resistant strains. Methods Antibiotic sensitivity tests were performed by disk diffusion test.IntI1,intI2 integrase gene and 1 class integron marker genes were detected by palymerase chain reaction(PCR).The PCR products were purified and sequenced. Results Most P.aeruginosa strains showed resistant to three or more classes antibiotics. And this resistance was related closely to the 1 class integron. The positive rate of intI1 integrase gene was(97.5%)(78/80),whereas the positire rate of intI2 integrase gene was only(6.25%)(5/80).The positive rate of class 1 integrase relative genes sul 1 and qacEΔ1 was(92.5%)(74/80) and(81.2%)(65/80) respectively. Conclusions The drug resistance of P.aeruginosa has close relationship with the new mechanism of drug resistant genes transmission-the integron system.
