Abstract
Objective To investigate the distribution of class I integrase gene and drug-resistance in continuously isolated Pseudomonas aeruginosa strains. Methods PCR techniques were used for detection of intI1 integrase gene in 97 strains of P.aeruginosa.Results IntI1 integrase gene was tested positive in 72 of 97(74.2%)P.aeruginosa isolates, including 61 multi-drug resistant stains(84.7%),6 non multi-drug resistant strains(8.9%)and 5 sensitive strains(6.4%).Conclusion IntI 1 integrase gene appears widespread in clinical isolates of P.aeruginosa and closely related with multi-drug resistance of P.aeruginosa.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
