Abstract
The effects of wheat based diets supplemented with enzyme preparations on growth, metabolism and the blood interleukin?2(IL?2)in weaning piglets were investigated.48 weaning piglets of three line crossbred(Duroc×Large Yorkshire×Erhualian)were divided into three groups and fed with Ⅰ.corn based diets,Ⅱ.wheat based diets,Ⅲ.wheat based diets supplemented with 0 017% enzyme preparations for 28 days respectively(pretreatment 4 days). The results showed that group Ⅰ increased piglet average daily gain by 4%(P0 05)compared with group Ⅱ,group Ⅲ increased average daily gain by 7 6%(P0 05)compared with group Ⅱ,but enzyme preparations had no effect on feed gain ratio. The blood urea nitrogen contents of group Ⅰ decreased significantly(P0 01),T 4 contents increased significantly(P0 05),other parameters had no significant changes compared with that of group Ⅱ.The urea nitrogen,T 4 and IL?2 levels in blood of group Ⅲ increased significantly(P0 05),glucose and T 3 levels tend to increasing, however insulin levels towards slight decreasing. These results suggested that wheat based diets supplemented with enzyme preparations could increase piglet average daily gain significantly, even exceeding that with corn based diets, which was obtained by influencing metabolism and immune.
