Abstract
Objective To improve the understanding of mammographic characteristics of breast cystosarcoma phylloidess.Methods The mammograms of 12 cases with breast cystosarcoma phylloide proved by surgically and pathologically were reviewed.Results The mammographic features were included: small tumors with smooth border(n=2),mean size 3.5 cm×2.9 cm;small tumors with rough border(n=2),mean size 2.6 cm×2.5 cm;large tumors with phylloide border(n=7),mean size 9.6 cm×7.8 cm;architectural distortion in 2 cases.Conclusion Generally large tumours with phylloides shape,homogeneous density,smooth and sharp border are the diagnostic importance for the cystosarcoma phylloides in the breast,but sometimes should be distinguished from fibroma and breast cancer.
