Anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect of the Yushangling Ointment

Objective To study anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect of the Yushangling Ointment.Methods Different pain and inflammatory models were made to investigate the anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects of the Yushangling Ointment.Results The results of the anti-inflammatory experiments showed that ear edema resulted from dimethyl benzene and paw edema induced by carragheenin were significantly inhibited by the Yushangling Ointment; permeability of micro-vessels of post-burned wound in rats and mice was greatly decreased.And the Yushangling Ointment also produced obvious analgesic effects on the pain model of body-twisting caused by acetic stimulus in mice and light-heat stimulation in mice.Conclusion The Yushangling Ointment has significant anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect.
