Abstract
In order to carry out systemic research on fattening and slaughter performance of trial lambs,we selected 30 lambs of F1(D×H),30 lambs of F1(S×H) and 20 lambs of Han and provided same diet and management. The results showed that body weights of F1(D×H) and F1(S×H) were respectively 24.14 and 24.88 kg when lambs were weaned on 90th day,and their weights increased by 23.47% and 27.52%(P0.01), respectively, compared with the small tail Han sheep of the same age.On 180th day, body weights of F1(D×H)and F1(S×H) were 44.8 and 46.14 kg,respectively,20.79% and 24.26% respectively heavier than small tail Han sheep. In slaughter, the live weight, carcass weight, pure meat weight of F1(D×H) and F1(S×H) were heavier than small tail Han sheep(P0.01);while their bone weights, rate of meat and bone,Gr value and area of rib eyes were higher than small tail Han sheep. The weights of carcass cutting of crossed lamb, shoulder, back, rump, breast and abdomen are significantly heavier than small tail Han sheep(P0.05);but weights of neck,lion,fore-shank and hind-shank are lighter than small tail Han sheep(P0.05).The study showed a trend that lamb of F1(S×H) was better than lamb of F1(D×H),and F1(D×H) and F1(S×H) had good adaptability and could be spread and feeded in area of Ninxia and its vieinity.
