Abstract

Objective To observe the curative effects of Sangzhidaige Decoction on the syndrome of invasion of the lung by liver-fire in patients with chronic cough. Methods Sixty cases were randomly divided into the treatment group(n=30)and the control group(n=30).The control group was given the routine therapies of anti-inflammatory and reducing phlegm. The treatment group was given Sangzhidaige Decoction besides the routine therapies.Symptom scores before and after treatment in patients were observed for efficacy evaluation. Results The total effective rate in the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P0.05).After a course of treatment, the symptom scores in the treatment group were significantly decreased than those of before treatment and the control group(P0.05).Both of the two groups had no significant adverse reactions. Conclusion Sangzhidaige Decoction has a positive effect on treatment of the syndrome of invasion of the lung by liver-fire in patients with chronic cough.
