The effectiveness of Interferon plus adefovir dipivoxil on serum IFN-γ/IL-10 in patients with chronic hepatitis B

Abstract
Objective To study the effect of interferon plus adefovir dipivoxil on serum interferon-γ(IFN-γ)/interleukin-10(IL-10) in patients with chronic hepatitis B.Methods 82 patients with chronic hepatitis B were randomly divided into two groups,the observation group(n=41 cases) and the control group(n=41 cases).The patients in the observation group were treated through interferon plus adefovir dipivoxil,while the patients in the control group were treated through adefovir dipivoxil for 12 months.Serum IFN-γ and IL-10 were detected before and after treatment.Results ALT normalization, HBV-DNA negative rate and HbeAg negative rate in the observation group were higher these in the control group(P0.05).Serum IFN-γ,IL-10 and IFN-γ/IL-10 were significantly improved after treatment.They in the observation group were more significantly improved than these in the control group(P0.05).Conclusion Interferon plus adefovir dipivoxil can improve chronic hepatitis B through improving Th1/Th2.
