Expression and Clinical Significance of the Serum High-sensitivity C-reactive Protein in Acute Cerebral Infarction

Abstract

Objective To investigate clinical significance of the the serum high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)level in acute cerebral infarction patients.Methods 82 acute cerebral infarction patients and 40 healthy persons as control were enrolled in this study.The serum hs-CRP levels in 24 h after admission were determined with immunoturbidimetry.All the patients were finally diagnosed by CT and MRI and scored by clinic nerological function deficit scale(NDS).Results Compared with Control group,the serum hs-CRP level in acute cerebral infarction group increased significantly(P0.01).The serum hs-CRP level was positively correlated with clinic nerological function deficit scale(NDS) and age of patients.(P0.05),but no correlation with sex(P0.05).Conclusion Relationship between the serum hs-CRP level and acute cerebral infarction is intimate.The higher the serum hs-CRP level,the more severe the pathogenetic,So the serum hs-CRP level is a risk factor for acute cerebral infarction and an objective indexe to evaluate the severity.
