Abstract

Objective To study the high frequency ultrasound can effectively detect microcalcifications in breast masses. Methods 147 patients in our hospital from November 2010 to December 2012 of breast masses were examined using high frequency ultrasound;breast masses were examined and data of mammography were analyzed, and all patients were pathologically. The detection rate according to the pathological examination results were compared in two ways of microcalcifications in breast masses. Results Of 147 cases breast molybdenum target examination showed microcalcifications in breast masses in 62 cases.High frequency ultrasound detection of single or multiple diameter 1 mm tip-sample strong echo in 108(73.5%).Microcalcifications including 96 malignant lesions and 12 benign lesions, and 96 lesions in 81(84.4%) multiple calcification,12 benign lesions microcalcifications in 5(41.7%) multiple calcification, molybdenum target mammography diagnosed 62 cases, the positive rate was 42.18%,the high frequency ultrasound diagnosis of 108 cases, the positive rate was 73.47%.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(χ2=9.51,P 0.01).Conclusion High-frequency ultrasound in breast masses by micro calcification can be detected effectively.
