Abstract

Oxidation roasting was a pretreatment technique for low-grade and complex siderite, the parameters of oxidation roasting were important to roasting efficiency. In this work, using software of FactSage, numerical simulation research for low grade and complex siderite had been accomplished, and thermodynamic conditions and characters of roasting analyzed. The research result indicated that the feasible temperature for oxide roasting was 1000~1050℃. At this point more then 37% iron ore grade was achieved, which was increased by 6.25%, and the desulfurization rate was 99.99%. The calculated results basically agreed with those analyzed in the experiments.
