Abstract

Wang clan in Ximen in Xiuning was a prominent family in Huizhou.The idea of clan system was very strog.At the end of the Ming dynasty,after WangKezhen,one of Wang clan in Ximen moved to Jiaxing,Zhejiang,the clan awareness weakened actually day after day and was strikingly different.The reasons that caused this change related to the differences of natural environment,social belief and the idea of clan system between Huizhou and Jiaxing.
