Abstract
Objective:The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalent characteristic of allergens in patients with allergic rhinitis in Chengdu.Methods:A total of 286 outpatients who were suspected to diagnose with allergic rhinitis by ENT doctors,underwent a skin prick test with standardized allergens.Results:The positive rate of skin prick test was 80.6%.The five top most important allergens were as followed:D.pteronyssinus(66.4 %),D.farina(65.0%),weed mix(36.4%),moulds Ⅱ(25.2%),moulds Ⅰ(21.3%).There were no difference of the allergens positive rate between male and female.Children had significantly higher sensitivity to dust mite compared to adults.Most cases were sensitive to more than one allergens.Conclusion:The study shows that the allergens characteristic in Chengdu were in accordance with the climate of this region.The mite was the most important allergen,so the specific immunotherapy should be attached importance.
