Effect on Acupuncturing Different Acupoints of Healthy People on Average Amplitude of Gastric Electrical Activity

Objective:To observe the effect of acupuncturing different acupoints of healthy people on the average amplitude of gastric electrical activity,and to explore the correlation between acupoints and Zang-fu organs.Method:Different acupoints on stomach meridian,spleen meridian and gallbladder meridian and non-acupoints of healthy people were acupunctured,changes of average amplitude of gastric electrical activity before and after acupuncture were observed,and the effect of acupuncturing different acupoints on different meridians on gastric function were compared.Results:The effect of acupuncturing different acupoints on different meridians on the average amplitude changing rate of healthy people showed significant deviation.The effect of acupuncturing different acupoints of the stomach meridian on the average amplitude changing rate of healthy people showed significant deviationConclusions:These results suggest that the effect of acupuncture on gastric function of healthy people were related to the relative specificity of meridians and acupoints.
