Abstract
A catalytic kinetic spectrophotometric method was established to determine trace rutin based on the catalysis of rutin to the discoloring reaction of arsenazo Ⅲ oxidized by potassium periodate solution;and it was adopted to detect rutin of practical specimens. Results indicate that the maximum absorption is at 590 nm,and the linear range for measurement is 0.03~1.0 mg/L.Besides,linear formula for regression processing of experimental data can be expressed as Α = 0.448 5 c + 0.001 1,with correlating coefficient and detection limit being 0.998 5 and 0.016 7 mg/L,respectively.The method is easy to operate, expeditious, and sensitive, and can be well practically used for determination of rutin.
