Cervical Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure(LEEP) in the Treatment of Cervical Erosion(Clinical Observation)

Objective:To study the value of loop electrosurgical excision procedure(LEEP) in treating cervical erosion.Methods:348 patients with cervical erosion Ⅱ ° admitted in our hospital during January 2006-March 2008 were randomly divided into observation and control groups.187 patients in LEEP group underwent Leep procedure,while 161 of control group underwent microwave procedure.Both groups were given reexamination 4,8,and 12 weeks after operation.Recovery of cervix surface was closly observed.Results:12 weeks after operation,the surface recovered once and for all.179 patients in LEEP group were cured in 12 weeks with a cure rate of 95.71% and 187 patients improved with an effective rate of 100%;while in the control group,144 were cured with a cure rate of 89.45 and 153 improved with an effective rate of 95.0%,showing statistical difference(P0.01).Conclusion:LEEP treatment of cervical erosion is better than microwave treatment.
