The Role of Government in Privatization of Public Service

Through an analysis made to failure, it is shown that the privatization of public service is an inevitable solution to failure, thus improving both the quality and effectiveness of public service. It has been a main orientation and irreversible trend of global administrative reform. A government, as the organization to lead the public service to privatization, plays an important role in this course, including participation, supervision and guidance. A government should bring its policy functions to effect so as to eliminate unreasonable control on a basis of incentive and proper regulations and to perfect the supervisory mechanism. Furthermore, a government should subsidize the poor so as to promote the privatization of public service.
