Abstract
Levulinic acid(LA)was made from biomass peanut shells with composite solid superacid S2O2-8/ZrO2-Al2O3-SiO2as hydrolysis catalyst. The effects of hydrolysis temperature, hydrolysis time, and the amount of solid and water mass ratio on LA yield were studies. The hydrolysis process was optimized with response surface method on the basis of single factor experiment. The optimal conditions were as follows:hydrolysis temperature,242℃;hydrolysis time 30min;the amount of solid acid 5.6%;and water solid mass ratio 16∶1.Under these conditions, the LA yield could reach 35.22%.
