Abstract
Objective: To analyze the effects of Simvastatin on transient ischemic attack. Methods: A total of 92 patients with TIA were randomly divided into two groups, group A(45 patients) were given enteric-coated aspirin tablets, group B(47 patients) were treated with simvastatin.Therapeutic effects of the both groups were observed.Results:89.36% patients of group A showed improvement, higher than the 73.33% of group B(P0.05).After treatment,TC,TG,LDL level of group B was lower than that in group A,but HDL level was higher(P both0.05).In group B,the rate of cerebral infarction, and TIA recurrence rate were 6.38% and 10.64%,respectively,both were lower 22.22% and 28.89% of group A(P0.05).Conclusion: Simvastatin shows great effects on transient ischemic attack,it can significantly decrease lipid levels to reduce cerebral infarction incidence and recurrence rate, which is good for patients' prognosis.
