The comparision of the clinical effect of glass fiber post and core & cast metal post and core in the restoration of anterior teeth defect

Objective To compare the clinical effect of glass fiber post and core cast metal post and core in the restoration of anterior teeth defect.Methods 90 anterior teeth,age from 19 to 62,under went excellent endodontic treatment,restored with PFM crown by glass fiber post and core metal post and core,after 6 months～3 year.Results During 6 months～3 years clinical observation,with the help of clinical examine,and X-ray,good results were found in aspects of the retention,marginal adaption in the group of 90 cases glass fiber post and core.2 teeth were found root fracture in the group of cast metal post and core.2 post and core were loose.Gingival grey line was found around 10 teeth.The rest 78 teeth restorations functioned well.Conclusion Clinical effect of glass fiber post and core was satisfying,better then cast metal post and core in the restoration of anterior teeth defect.
