Abstract
Objective:To observe and verify the intervention action of Sanhuang Yishen Capsule in rats with early diabetic nephropathy,and to study its possible mechanism,so as to provide experimental evidence for the clinic prevention of diabetic nephropathy.Method:Diabetic rats(n = 13/group) were randomly divided into diabetes model group,low-dose Sanhuang Yishen Capsule treated group(0.4 g.kg-1.d-1),middle-dose Sanhuang Yishen Capsule treated group(0.8 g.kg-1.d-1),high-dose Sanhuang Yishen Capsule treated group(1.6 g.kg-1.d-1).Ten SD rats were selected as control group.At the end of the 8th week,we detected blood glucose,glycosylated hemoglobin,creatinine,urea nitrogen,triglyceride,cholesterol and kidney weight/body weight index.The expression of renal TGF-β1 and VEGF were assessed by immune-histochemistry.Result:After treatment of 8 weeks,compared with the diabetes model group the middle-dose and the high-dose Sanhuang Yishen Capsule groups showed obviously decreases in kidney weight/body weight index and the level of serum creatinine,urea nitrogen(P 0.01).The expression of TGF-β1 and VEGF in kidney of middle-,high-dose Sanhuang Yishen Capsule treated group rats was lower than that of the diabetes model group(P 0.05).Conclusion:Sanhuang Yishen Capsule can reduce the expression of TGF-β1 and VEGF in the kidney of diabetic rats and delay of renal injury in diabetic rats.
