An analysis of Fuzhou's urban centrality

Based on relevant statistics on Fujian Province and Fuzhou, a preliminary analysis of the urban centrality of Fuzhou, a city of an important node for building a prosperous area on the west bank of the Taiwan Straight since the mid and late 1980s, is made largely in the method of quantitative analysis. The result indicates that Fuzhou has achieved a smooth and sound growth after going through a fluctuating development, the reasons for which are also discussed. Finally, some proposals are provided for boosting the urban centrality of Fuzhou.
