Abstract
ObjectiveTo establish a method for detection of total mercury in air.MethodsTotal mercury in air was absorbed, gathered, oxidized by potassium permanganate liquid, and determined by atomic fluorescence spectrometry.ResultsThe detection limit was 0.02 ng/ml,the linear range was 0-30 ng/ml,r=0.999 6,RSD was 2.3%-4.5%,the recovery rate was 90.0%-98.0%.There was no significant difference between the results obtained by two methods(t=0.14,P0.05).ConclusionThis method is simple, quick, accurate and sensitive.
