The Clinical Effectiveness of “Blood-Activating and Stasis-Resolving Decoction”in Treatment of Acute Attackof Chronic pulmonary Heart Disease

Abstract

Objective To study the clinical effectiveness of“Blood-Activating and Stasis-Resolving Decoction”in the treatment of the acute attack of chronic pulmonary heart disease .MethodsOne hundred thirty cases of chronic pulmonary heart disease which in acute stage were divided into twogroups at random.60 cases were treated by routine western medicines(control group) and another 70 caseswere treated by the Decoction besides the western medicines (treatment group) ,with a course of 2～4weeks. Results The total effective rate was 92.9 % in treatment group and 80.3 % in control group ,and the difference was significantly(P0.05);the relief of such symptoms as cough ,expectoration ,asthma,palpitation,cyanosis and edema was more obvious in treatment group than in control group(P 0.05).Conclusion It is better of Blood-Activating and Stasis-Resolving Decoction besides the westernmedicines than simple routine western medicines.
