Therapeutic Effects of Guanchangfang on Ulcerative Colitis and Changes of D-D PLT and MPV in Sera

Abstract

Objective:To observe the therapeutic effects of Guanchangfang and its effect on the serum levels of D-D,PLT and MPV in patients with ulcerative colitis(UC).Methods:A total of 40 UC patients were randomly classified into Guanchangfang-treated group(n=20)and sulfasalazine-treated group(n =20).Clinical symptoms,D-D,PLT and MPV levels in sera were evaluated 3 weeks after treatment.Results:Compared with those of sulfasalazine-treated group,colonic mucosal inflammation in Guanchangfang-treated group was significantly improved(P0.05),and serum levels of D-D,PLT and MPV markedly changed(P0.05).Conclusion:Guanchangfang is effective to treat ulcerative colitis and can lower the serum content of D-D and PLT,and can increase MPV in sera,which may be an important pathway in clinical trail.
